A Contemporary Love

A contemporary love to find,
One to hold close,
One to share the proximity of the soul,

A contemporary love,
Where inhibitions are left behind,
There are no judgments or labeling,
Only infallibility rules this land
Unrequited everything coming from the others hand,

A contemporary love is hard to find,
Scouring through the sea of unworthy
Recycling those who may have had an off day,
Hoping the corner turned reveals a lighted path
Where that unknown face will become unmasked,

A contemporary love,
You must believe,
One day a line be drawn
And it will be unavoidable
The trip from head to feet,

Without faith, without an innate belief,
Each step you walk,
Will sink you deep
