Authorial

Authorship in an era of lies
Censors dig and deny
Mobility lost, but yet you try
To script a path
From a plot despised

Penmanship for the illiterate
A forging of wit and tension lines
Writing the procurements free
A darkened shroud gains decree
Adapting your own words and philosophy
Into phrases and tautologies
Symbolic yet askew
At the very gates, to which your humbled self conforms
Each step a strut that become a shuffling
Assimilation is all you can muster
Broken
Your child
Is fathered by some other man
And you watch as the hugs
Tighten into
one
